Hey everyone,

My name is Abdullah and I am your VP Finance. I’m responsible for managing the funds, the budgets, and the sponsorships for the union. I work a lot with our exec team to come up with engaging and fun ideas for us to bring the LMP community together. I love research and I love hearts. I am currently working at Toronto General on some exciting transplant research to improve outcomes. Feel free to send me a message or grab coffee with me to talk about LMP, your courses, or anything that might interest you!

Hi everyone!

My name is Jerry and I am the third year representative for the LMPSU. I help convey the voices of my fellow third years and also work with the second year rep to ensure more second year involvement in LMP events. Outside of school, I research the role of innate immune cells in cancer progression, paddle on a dragon boat team, and play the ukulele in my spare time. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions regarding first and second year courses or LMP in general!

Hey everyone!

My name is Ziqi and I’m your second year rep. I help convey the voices of my fellow second years as well as assist in the planning of LMPSU events. Outside of school I’m a biomedical debate trainer for HOSA, and an event planner for VANU. I also play intramural ultimate and guitar in my spare time. Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions about the LMP specialist program or any LMPSU events.

My name is Harvard and I am your Internal Affairs Officer for the 2018-19 year! I work behind the scenes to update everyone on upcoming events, like those emails you’ve gotten from the ListServ and announcements on Quercus. Aside from my work in the LMPSU, I am also the President of the UofT Tennis Club. In my free time, you can probably find me either on the tennis courts or playing the piano somewhere. Feel free.

Hi there,

My name is Michael and I am the co-president of the LMPSU this academic year. I oversee everything that’s happening in the LMPSU, including organizing events, marketing, seeking collaborations, and leading executive meetings. Outside of the LMPSU, I’m also the editor-in-chief of Journal of Undergraduate Life Sciences (JULS) as well as the choir director of Healing Sounds of Music (HSM) Choir. If you have any questions regarding the LMPSU, pathobiology specialist program, or anything, feel free to contact us.

Hi! My name is Julie and I am the Graphic Designer where I make all graphics related content for LMPSU. I am a third year in specializing in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and majoring in Biochemistry. In addition to LMPSU, I am an Advertisements and Publicity Director for the Innis Residence Council,  a layout manager for JULS and working on a project based upon synthetic antibodies.

Hey guys, my name is Helen. I am the Vice president of social affairs this year, and I will be organizing the various social events. As a member of the student union, I hope to establish an inclusive environment for students to conduct academic, career-related, and social exchange. I am grateful for having been entrusted with this position, and I hope to meet you all during the year! Feel free to reach out with any questions you have, or when you’re in need of advice for your next meal in the city.

Hey all, I am Soyoung, and  I am a non-LMP representative in LMPSU, representing those who are not in LMP program but interested in LMP department. I ,myself, am not in LMP. I am doing a specialist in pharmacology and toxicology. So, feel free to ask me about any questions you have about LMP and the events we host.

Hello! I’m Laura, LMPSU’s VP Academic.  In this capacity, I run academic seminars, past test distribution and the LMP Mentorship program.  I hope to make your journey with the LMP specialist program a bit smoother by providing academic support and platforms for discussion. In my free time,  I enjoy spending time outdoors with good food and good company. Please reach out if you would like to discuss any of the above with me.

Hi everyone, my name is Wenda. I’m the external affairs officer of LMPSU. I mainly deal with external affairs and help organize events as well. In my free time, I play the piano and video games. I am also a volunteer at the ROM. If you have any questions about school and the program, I’ll be more than willing to offer my insights.

Hey everyone, I’m Ashley, one of the Co-Presidents this year. I manage the overall direction of the LMPSU in addition to my usual duties as an exec. One of my goals for this year is to keep better records of what we do, so that we don’t retread the same ground and can dedicate our efforts to continuously improving the lives of students. Outside of the LMPSU, I do microbiological research, play badminton, and frequently read books. You can strike up a conversation with me anytime!

Hello! I’m Ying and I’m the Webmaster for the 2018-2019 LMPSU. I’m on my way to graduating as a LMP specialist and music major, and currently I split my time between wandering aimlessly in the lab and wandering aimlessly online – especially on YouTube where I tend to binge watch stop motion animations (that is, I watch them non-stop while being motionless). Outside of the lab I work as a church musician and amateur life coach for my teenage brother, so I think I’m fairly patient and approachable. I’m proud to be part of such a dedicated team as LMPSU – let us know how we can help and we’ll be there for you!
