Executive Council

LMPSU presents the 2017-2018 Executive Council

Thank you to all candidates who ran and to everybody who voted in the LMPSU elections. We are excited to announce the 2017-2018 executive team, and we wish them the best of luck in their new positions!

Co-President: Negar Khosraviani                                                                                   Co-President:  Ramana Trivedi

Hi everyone! My name is Ramana Trivedi and I'm one of your Co-Presidents this year! In addition to being a 3rd year pathobiology specialist, I'm pursuing a minor in immunology. Besides practically living in Gerstein to study, I love playing the violin, reading books, and watching anime (Sound! Euphonium anyone?). This year, I hope to help make LMP an even tighter and close-knit community of like-minded people. I'd love to get to know as many of you as I can, so feel free to talk to me if you see me on campus (realistically, in a library so we may have to whisper) or message me if you ever need anything! Looking forward to a fantastic year!

Hey LMP! I'm Michael, the Internal Affairs Officer for this year. Two truths and a lie: I'm from Vancouver, I main Marth and Sheik in Smash Bros, and underneath this wig lies 9 feet of luscious pink dreadlocks. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or just want to chat!

I'm Ashley Wang, a third-year Pathobiology Specialist, a Computer Science Minor, and this year's External Affairs Officer. I’m in charge of collaborations with other groups and acquiring sponsorships from outside sources. Juggling schoolwork, clubs, and research can be troublesome, but is definitely worthwhile - there's no time like the present! In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and playing badminton. Feel free to contact me about collaborations, sponsorships, or if you just want to talk. My email is ashleyxy.wang@mail.utoronto.ca.

3rd Year Representative: Angel Ly

Hi LMP community! My name is Angel Ly and I am your 3rd Year Representative in the LMPSU for the 2017-2018 academic year. I am super excited to be part of this student union by representing and being the bridge between the third year LMP specialist students and our amazing Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology department! I am currently doing a Biomedical Toxicology Major along with the Pathobiology Specialist, as both are related to macromolecular damage and cellular death. This year is going to be full of amazing departmental and social events, and I cannot wait to get this academic year going with the LMPSU.

Graphic Designer: Matteo Di Scipio

Hello! I’m the Graphic Designer this year where I’ll be responsible for the creation of our posters and pamphlets. Personally, I’m most excited about our “Repair and Recovery” conference based on fibrosis in January. We will get to see an exciting series of talks that explores scientific discovery in an extremely clinically relevant field. Also, keep an open eye out for some of the images that will be incorporated into my designs . Hope to see you at some LMPSU events!
