Hey LMP! My name is Kevin, and I am one of your LMPSU Co-Presidents this year. I work with the rest of the LMPSU to carry out a variety of academic and social events and projects, and to help you in your journey through the pathobiology program and the University. Outside of LMPSU, I love to watch snake documentaries, rewatch episodes of Bates Motel and Bloodline, hang out with friends, and collect stickers. If you have any ideas or requests for LMPSU, questions or comments about LMP or U of T in general, or just want to chat, please do not hesitate to contact me at kr.liu@mail.utoronto.ca. Cheers to an awesome year ahead!

Hello LMP! My name is Sudarshan (often misheard as Seduction), and I am one of your Co-Presidents this year. I’m a fourth year LMP specialist with a minor in immunology and a love for trying new things. Some of my interests include going rock climbing, surfing the interwebs, playing guitar, and playing Sm4sh (#TeamZSSandIke). You can often find me hanging around Victoria College or MaRS; if you see me, come up and say hi! As Co-President, I work with the rest of our fabulous executive team towards organizing a variety of fun and exciting events for the LMP community, usually featuring free food. If you have any ideas for new events you want to see this year, shoot me a message! Let’s make this an amazing year to be in LMP.

Hey everyone, my name is Michelle and I am happy to serve as your Academic VP this year! I am responsible for organizing the LMPSU Mentorship Program and hosting seminars to give you the best possible academic experience during your undergraduate years! You might also see me a whole lot if you want to purchase past tests for LMP courses. I am a fourth year Pathobiology specialist, and I also take courses in pharmacology and immunology. I love to make music, watch musical performances, and break out into random songs from the musical Wicked or Disney movies when I am going home late from Gerstein and no one else is on campus to hear my crazy singing. I also like to go for a quick swim if I can spare some time in between my lab experiments at Mount Sinai Hospital! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me 🙂

VP Finance: Stefan Jevtic

Hello LMP! My name is Stefan Jevtic and I am your VP Finance. I am currently a fourth year pathobiology specialist, physiology major, and immunology minor with an interest in neurodegenerative research. Apart from school, I enjoy tennis, classical music (pianist and flautist), and traditional Serbian folklore! As your VP Finance, I am in charge of securing funds so that we can host a variety of activities to improve your experience as LMP students. If you have any suggestions or questions regarding activities for the upcoming year, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I look forward to another great year in LMP!

I’d be more than happy to hear all of your suggestions so please let me know what you think. A little bit about myself: it’s my third and last year at U of T, I’ve lived in Dubai for the majority of my life, and I love to play soccer.

Hey LMP!                                                                                     I’m Hilary, your External Affairs Officer this year! I’m a fourth year Pathobiology specialist, avid stem cell researcher, and aspiring mountain biker. In my free time, I love to bake, eat, and share Nordic and Chinese pastries. As part of the LMPSU, I act as a liaison between the exec team and U of T community as well as seek out speakers and sponsorships for our various events. If you’d like to talk about lab opportunities, courses, or event ideas, you can send me an email (hilary.pang@mail.utoronto.ca) or find me studying at short-term loan in Gerstein. Happy to serve the LMP community this year.

Internal Affairs Officer: Alan Huynh

Hey LMP! I’m Alan, your Internal Affairs Officer. You will most often find me on the south-east end of campus, living amongst my bacteria at MaRS (newly built west tower has a sweet view), or moving around MSB in search of my classes. My research makes me smell like dirt (thanks, geosmin-producing strepto’s!),I tutor little kiddies in math and calculus (not so little I guess), et j’aime bien le Cirque du Soleil. I love talking to people about life choices: if you have questions about academics, research, or if you’re having an existential crisis about your future, don’t have it alone… lets have it together! In the chance that you see me walking around, say hi! People tell me that when I walk, I walk with a purpose. But I promise to stop if you call my name 🙂. If you have any questions or comments about anything, I’ll be happy to entertain them. Wanna grab some caffeine juice/leaf juice/yeast juice together and chat on the red planet?

Social Committee Representative: Christian Krustev

LMP! My name is Christian Krustev and I am the 2016-2017 Social Committee Representative. I am in my fourth year doing a specialist in LMP and a minor in immunology. I’m a big sports fan, tech nerd, and play more video games than I should. As the social committee representative, I will be involved in the many great social events planned for the LMP community throughout the year so if you are ever wondering what the next big thing is, I’m your guy. Also, if you have a suggestion for an event or anything related to an LMP event, I would love to hear it. Here’s to a great year!

Hello LMP! My name is Tsz Ying (the T is silent), and I’m your LMPSU webmaster for the year! I am currently in third year studying Pathobiology and Immunology. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music, painting, exploring Downtown Toronto and of course, watching Korean dramas ~ because who doesn’t? If you have any questions about LMPSU or anything in general, feel free to contact me. You’ll most likely find me in the Gerstein library or at Starbucks/Timmies getting a warm cup of coffee.

Graphic Designer: Yuhui Xie

DSC_0553-min

Hi LMP, My name is Quin (or Yuhui, whatever you’d like to call me), and I’m the Graphic designer this year. I’m in my second year right now, doing pathology specialist and neuroscience major. My interests include, obviously, graphic design, and going shopping, watching movies, TV series and animations, also reading comics and mangas, although I haven’t caught up for a long long time. I like to go to Knox college or Gerstein when studying between classes. Feel free to say hello to me if you meet me anywhere on campus, or ask me questions if you want to 🙂 My major responsibility is to design posters for various the fun and exciting events organized by LMPSU, and academic events. Do check out the event pages on Facebook and show up for at least some of the events (I put a lot of effort into the posters)!! LMP is a great community, and we really want to make sure that everyone feels like a part of it.

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my friends and family, and go to the mall!!

Second Year Representative: Ramana Trivedi

DSC_0562-min

Hi everyone! My name is Ramana and I’m the 2nd Year Specialist Rep! The easiest way to get to know me is to play a game of Fun Facts About Ramana©. Fun Fact #1: I love watching the Arrow and the Flash (Snowbarry anyone?). Fun Fact #2: When I’m stressed about exams, I play the violin or mridangam (Google it!) to let it all out. Fun Fact #3: My mother tongue, Khedaval Gujarati, is spoken by around 4000 globally. That’s a really quick introduction on who I am, but I’d love to get to know all of you as well so come over and talk to me if you see me around! This year, I hope to help the 2nd years integrate into LMP and get to know each other. It’s easy to feel disconnected in the vastness of U of T – my mission is to change that. Hope to see you at our events!

Non-Specialist Representative: Stephanie Lau

DSC_0557-min

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I am your non-specialist student representative. I’m a third year Pharmacology & Biomedical Toxicology double-specialist with an interest in LMP. You will most likely find me in one of the fishtank study rooms if you decide to visit the Stacks at Robarts,. If you have any inquiries about LMP, pharm/tox, or anything else that comes to mind, you are more then welcome to contact me and the LMP executive team!
